Lake Area Discovery Center is seeking a Full-Time Preschool Assistant Teacher to support a preschool classroom at Notre Dame Academy's Discovery Center in Minnetonka, MN. This role works closely with the Lead Teacher and classroom team to provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for preschool-aged children. What You'll Do Support the Lead Teacher in a preschool classroom Assist with daily activities, learning centers, and classroom routines Help create a positive, nurturing environment for young children Supervise and engage children during play, learning, and transitions Maintain a clean and organized classroom Communicate with teaching staff and support classroom planning Follow Minnesota DHS licensing guidelines Qualifications Experience working with young children in childcare or early education preferred Coursework or training in Early Childhood Education or related field helpful Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and families Strong communication and teamwork skills Compensation & Benefits $18.00–$22.00 per hour, based on education and experience Year-round position (12 months) 64 hours Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid holidays and in-service days $500 continuing education benefit Supportive team environment and professional development opportunities About Lake Area Discovery Center Lake Area Discovery Center has served families in the Twin Cities since 1999 and partners with 18 churches and schools to provide high-quality early childhood education for children 6 weeks through Pre-K.
