Wisconsin Center District Job Description – Public Safety Officer 1st Shift - 7am -3pm 2nd Shift - 3pm - 11pm Position Overview:  The Public Safety Officer will patrol buildings and grounds within an assigned area on foot or in a vehicle, secure and unsecure buildings, report unusual or suspicious circumstances or conditions, activate and de-activate alarm systems, file reports regarding work place injuries, along with monitor and report obvious malfunctions in building physical plant mechanical systems such as heating, air conditioning, lighting, water leaks, etc. Public Safety Officer’s are a key face of the WCD and will need to provide general assistance, directions, and information to personnel and visitors. The Public Safety Supervisor will work a non-conventional workweek and will be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts. 
Responsibilities
The officer is responsible for patrolling buildings and grounds to secure facilities and report suspicious activities or mechanical malfunctions. They also serve as a primary point of contact to provide assistance and directions to visitors and personnel.
