JOB TYPE: FULL-TIME, PERMANENT

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at Wilson’s Country in Craigavon, County Armagh. This role is crucial to maintaining our high standards of quality and ensuring the satisfaction of our customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in a quality assurance role
• Knowledge of quality control standards and procedures
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Sampling, Washing and peeling potatoes at intake/arrival to factory in preparation for grading/packing
• Visually grading potatoes looking at quality defects on skin
• Destructive tests on potato samples looking at internal quality defects
• Grading of washed and peeled potatoes looking at expected peeling and chipping yields
• Cooking up (Frying/Steaming) of intake samples to look at fry colours/product texture & quality acceptability
• Transferring intake data to ERP system, taking photo’s and sending out intake report for each lot
• Visually assessing samples through hot box (accelerated shelf life) testing
• Any other associated duties as directed by Quality / Technical Manager
