OVERVIEW

Privately owned and operated dental clinic - Crystal Smiles Dental is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and Dentrix is highly desirable.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with Dentrix is an asset
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
  • Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety protocols.
    Hours would be:
    Mondays (alternating): 12-7pm
    Tuesdays: 11am-7pm
    Wednesdays & Thursdays: 8am-4pm
    Fridays: 8am-3pm

Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after procedures.
  • Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
