Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative individual to join our culinary team as a Salads and Desserts Prep Cook. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of fresh salads and delicious desserts in accordance with our recipes and presentation standards. You will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assemble all salads and cold appetizers according to standardized recipes.
  • Create, portion, and plate a variety of desserts, both pre-made and from scratch.
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of your prep and storage area.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to coordinate dish timing and presentation.
  • Assist with inventory checks and reporting low stock or spoilage.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
  • Assist with general kitchen duties and support other stations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen preferred, especially in salads, cold dishes, or pastry/desserts.
  • Strong attention to detail and plating aesthetics.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-player mindset.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to kitchen procedures and menu changes.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • May involve lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • A fast-paced kitchen environment; weekend and evening availability may be required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
