Description Full Time- Seasonal Park Aide The Boone County Conservation Board is seeking candidates to fill 1 Full Time- Seasonal Park Aide position in Madrid, IA. The selected individual will assist in a variety of tasks associated with the management of Swede Point Campground and park, wildlife areas, and trails managed by the Boone County Conservation Board. This position may require some weekend, night, and holiday hours as well as the opportunity to assist the Naturalist with outdoor recreational programs. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 17 years of age and possess a valid driver's license. Background check and drug test may be required. The ability to routinely lift 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions. The ability to operate and assist with the maintenance of various outdoor equipment. Performs mowing, weed eating, cleaning of facilities, facility and park maintenance, public relations, interaction with park visitors and other jobs as assigned. Preferred experience in operation of equipment such as mowers, trimmers, skid loaders, tractors, chain saws and hand tools. Willing to work a nonstandard work week with some night, weekend and holiday work may be required. May assist the county Naturalist when needed with recreational or educational programming. This is a seasonal position running from approximately May to September and will not exceed 40 hours per week. WAGE: $15/hr. 40 hours per week. DEADLINE: OPEN UNTIL FILLED

Responsibilities

The Seasonal Park Aide performs essential tasks including mowing, weed eating, cleaning facilities, and general park and facility maintenance under the supervision of the Park Ranger. This role also involves public interaction and may include assisting the Naturalist with outdoor recreational or educational programming.
