Requirements (Other duties may be assigned that are reasonably within the scope of the position) Qualifications: Customer-Centric Attitude: Your smile and positivity brighten up our customers’ day. Detail-Oriented: Precision in handling transactions is your middle name. Cash handling experience is preferred. Communication Skills: From explaining banking products to resolving concerns, you’re a pro at communication. Responsible for greeting all bank customers, as they enter the branch, in a courteous and professional manner. Operate a teller window to process a variety of transactions within established guidelines, such as processing individual and commercial deposits, savings and checking transactions, cash advances, loan payments, credit card payments and other transactions. Enter customers' transactions into computer to record transactions, and issues computer generated receipts. Assist customers with questions regarding their accounts; Place holds on accounts, as appropriate. Order daily supply of cash and count incoming cash; Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer and compare totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen. Participate in maintaining good customer relations by giving courteous, efficient service and developing new business by acquainting non-customers with bank services and presenting current customers with additional services; Identify and respond to these cross-sale opportunities by referring customers to the appropriate bank personnel. Record customer interactions in the bank's CRM platform. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience High school degree or equivalent required; Six months to one-year related experience and/or training required in area of cash handling or customer service. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requires ability to communicate effectively and clearly (both written and verbally): Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Mathematical Skills Requires ability to perform basic mathematical calculations: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Requires ability to use good judgment in making routine and complex decisions; Must have excellent customer service skills with the ability to sell products and Services: Ability to accurately handle large sums of cash; Must be goal oriented and able to achieve individual goals as well as work as a team player to achieve departmental and/or Bank goals; Flexibility is necessary with the ability to adapt in an ever-changing environment. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, with an ability to quickly learn other bank related programs. The estimated hiring range is the budgeted amount for this position.
