ABOUT THE POSITION:

Under the supervision of the Programs Supervisor the Visit Coach will provide a safe and supported setting for children, youth and care giver connection in the home, community or visit environment. The Visit Coach will support in transportation and facilitation of visits, providing guidance and coaching of parents/caregivers
We are looking for a Full Time Visit Coach for the Supervised Family Time Program at McMan Medicine Hat.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree/Diploma in human services or related field and a member in good standing with the applicable professional association. A combination of experience and education may be considered.
  • Minimum one year experience coaching and supporting parents/guardians, children, and youth as a family unit.
  • Flexible schedule required as shifts may be a combination of day, evening and/or weekend (primarily Saturdays).
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • An essential function of the position is the ability to carry 44 pounds to allow for carrying child car seats.
  • For Agency’s Third-Party Vehicle Insurance, drivers must be at least 25 years old to operate the 10-passenger transit van.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check including vulnerable sector and Child Intervention Check dated within the past six months, Driver’s Abstract, valid AB Class 5 Driver’s License, use of reliable vehicle and minimum $2M Third Party Liability insurance to carry passengers.
  • Standard First Aid CPR Level C or CSA Standard Z1210-17 Intermediate First Aid Certificate
