As the Weekend Nurse Coordinator, you will oversee the care of our pediatric and geriatric clients in the community, particularly over the weekend, when our clients and staff require support. This position is a leadership role that is most impactful by visiting clients and caregivers in the community. Daily visits are made to clients' homes for consultations, to update care plans, perform supervisory visits, perform nursing tasks if needed, and ensure caregivers are meeting the client’s needs. Nurse Supervisors have a few main responsibilities to drive results. As a Nurse Supervisor you will: Oversee clients' care in the Toronto and GTA community Meet with prospective clients and families to consult and develop care plans that enable clients to have the highest quality of life while they remain living at home. Introduce our caregivers to our clients and provide an in-person, orientation. Coach your team on how best to meet our clients' needs and provide them with a premium care experience. Provide in-person, hands-on training and coaching to field staff through our in-house skills lab, supporting the development of competencies related to complex care needs. Teaching and mentorship are a large part of this role. Conduct monthly check-in visits for your clients to ensure care needs are being met and all care documentation is up to date. You will be visiting clients in-person every evening. Documentation, care plan, and chart audits Step up and save the day by covering shifts as needed to ensure no client goes without care. *Please note that driving and commuting throughout Toronto and across the surrounding GTA is required. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with inner-city, and highway driving, and spending time in the car. We provide service all throughout Toronto and the GTA including Peel, York, Mississauga, and Durham Region. SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS: Flexibility is required; no two days will look the same Full-Time Weekend Opportunity Maximize your weekdays while working 12-hour shifts Thursday–Friday, a flexible alternating 8–12 hour Saturday, and alternating 12-hour Sundays. Ideal for those seeking concentrated hours and predictable scheduling. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 4 years minimum of nursing experience (required) 2 years of complex paediatric care (required) Homecare experience (preferred) Previous experience in a leadership role (preferred) Must have paediatric complex care experience with majority of the following interventions: Tracheostomy care Ventilators suctioning (oral, nasal and tracheal) G and J tube feeding Bi-pap or C-pap Cough assist Oxygenation Seizure monitoring EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid Driver's License (mandatory) Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Intentional organization, planning, time management, and multi-tasking skills Demonstrated experience setting and achieving goals Customer service and leadership Previous teaching or leadership experience an asset Negative TB Test completed within the last year CNO Registration and Registered Nurse (RN) Certificate in good standing COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to the Ontario's Human Rights Code Valid Criminal Record Check - must be completed within the last year. Valid CPR/First aid certification Valid WHMIS2015 certification from the past year Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English Ability to identify and report client care concerns to the team The successful candidate will be provided with the use of a company car that they take home each night. All gas, parking and maintenance are covered.
