• You will be working on the entire Monpay platform: checkout, merchant dashboard, payment engine and the APIs behind it.
• You build new features from the database to the UI — not just processing tickets, but contributing your ideas from the concept onwards.
• You address performance and scaling issues as soon as they arise (and they do so regularly).
• You design data models and API interfaces for new integrations into the Monpay ecosystem.
• You work directly with John (CEO), Pierre (CTO) and the rest of the team — short communication channels, quick decisions

qualification

• Excellent knowledge of React, Next.js, TypeScript and JavaScript — you know the pitfalls, not just the tutorials.
• You are confident with relational MySQL databases and know when an index helps and when a refactor is needed.
• You've already worked on software where a bug costs real money – ideally in fintech or alternatively SaaS, e-commerce, payment, booking, something along those lines.
• You work independently and prefer to make technical decisions rather than waiting for instructions.
• Bonus: Experience with payment APIs (Stripe, PayPal, Klarna, etc.) and PCI-DSS

What we deliberately don't require: a specific degree or years of prior experience. Show us that you can build clean software.
