Description
About FRYTE FRYTE is redefining how electric logistics connects with the energy grid. From our base in Munich, we’re building the intelligence layer that powers the transition from diesel to electric freight. Our SaaS platform enables fleet operators, dispatchers, and charge point operators to plan, optimize, and monetize electric truck charging — aligning fleet efficiency with grid stability. Our vision: replace big oil with smart electrons. Our mission: get e-trucks on the road – faster, smarter, more efficiently. Tasks The Opportunity This is not a “just write code” role. It’s an opportunity to own features end-to-end, to shape the architecture of a fast-scaling product, and to build the systems that electrify an entire industry. You’ll work directly with the founders (former TUM researchers with deep energy + logistics expertise), translating complex technical and operational challenges into elegant, production-grade software. What You’ll Do Own fullstack features from concept to production Design and implement clean, scalable APIs Build performant, intuitive UIs that empower real-world logistics operators Work with geospatial data (PostGIS) and asynchronous systems (FastAPI) Push quality, reliability, and security across the stack Help shape our engineering culture, best practices, and technical direction Requirements What You Bring Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field 1–4 years of fullstack experience (Python + JS/TypeScript) Deep understanding of modern web stacks (React, FastAPI, Postgres) Comfort moving between backend, frontend, and DevOps Pragmatic problem-solving mindset — ship value, not tickets Curiosity for logistics, optimization, or energy systems Bonus: Experience with PostGIS, Mapbox, or early-stage product scaling. Our Stack Backend: FastAPI, Postgres, PostGIS Frontend: React, TypeScript Infra: Docker, GitHub Actions, OpenStack Benefits How We Work 🧠 Asynchronous-first – less talk, more output. We document everything in Notion. ⚙️ Autonomy & ownership – we trust you to make decisions, not wait for permission. 💡 Deep work – long focus blocks, low meetings. ☕️ Human connection – good coffee, real conversations. 💪 Hands-on, no bureaucracy – if something can be improved, do it. Why Join FRYTE 🌍 Impact that matters – every feature helps decarbonize logistics. 🚀 Early-stage ownership – your code defines the foundation of our platform. 🦾 Cutting-edge tech – geospatial data, real-time optimization, real micro-services. 🏢 Hybrid setup – deep work flexibility + a central Munich office. 🎯 Perks that support you – JobRad, gym membership, family-friendly policies. 💻 No compromise on tools – you get the hardware and setup you need. Who You’ll Work With You’ll join a team led by Max and Sebastian, former TUM researchers with over a decade of experience in energy systems and logistics. Their mix of academic rigor and startup drive defines our culture: curious, direct, and relentlessly focused on real-world impact. Equal Opportunity We welcome everyone who shares our mission. We celebrate diversity and are committed to an inclusive, equitable workplace — regardless of background, origin, or identity. Sound like you? Send us: A short note on why ownership and impact matter to you A project or repo you’re proud of We don’t hire for checklists. We hire builders who want to move the world forward — one charge at a time.
Responsibilities
You will own fullstack features from concept to production, designing and implementing clean, scalable APIs and building intuitive UIs. Additionally, you will work with geospatial data and asynchronous systems while ensuring quality, reliability, and security across the stack.
