As a Functional Analyst – SAP, you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing UnitingCare’s finance systems, ensuring the stability, performance and continuous improvement of our SAP solutions. Working closely with Finance and Digital & Technology teams, you'll help deliver system enhancements, solve complex business challenges and enable efficient financial operations across one of Queensland’s largest not-for-profit organisations.
Please note, this position is a permanent role. Flexibility is important to us, and we know it is to you, too - this role supports hybrid working by agreement.
Your part in our UnitingCare team:
- Provide functional support for SAP financial and billing systems, ensuring effective financial operations, reporting and month-end processing.
- Investigate and resolve complex billing, pricing and system issues, including detailed root cause analysis.
- Support payment and banking processes, billing configurations, health fund contracts and pricing arrangements.
- Monitor and resolve system integration issues across SAP and connected enterprise platforms while maintaining data integrity.
- Work with stakeholders to define business requirements and support the delivery of system enhancements and improvements.
- Champion strong data governance practices, ensuring the accuracy, integrity and effective use of financial and billing data.
- Contribute to projects, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives that optimise business processes and user experience.
What makes a difference for us?
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Financial Software Applications or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience as a Functional Analyst or Systems Accountant supporting SAP ECC with ABAP, in a complex environment
- Strong knowledge of SAP finance and billing modules including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Assets and Projects.
- Experience supporting billing, pricing, health fund contracts and claims processing environments.
- Expertise in SAP configuration, pricing structures, tariffs and contract management.
- Proven problem-solving skills with experience resolving complex system, payment and billing issues.
- Experience with system integrations, interface monitoring and enterprise platforms.
- Strong analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience supporting testing, system enhancements, reporting, audit compliance and data governance practices.
- CA or CPA qualifications will be highly regarded.
- Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policy, including a Nationally Coordinated Police Check and Right to Work in Australia.
