HOW YOU CAN MAKE YOUR MARK

As functional application administrator within Fleet Management, you will lead the transition to our “Ship Maintenance Management System (SMMS) a tailor-made system for Boskalis. Your responsibilities include establishing a knowledge base, managing user inquiries, creating training materials, and coordinating with stakeholders. You will also implement a communication strategy to keep users informed about updates.
Your role ensures the SMMS is maintained perfectly to prevent ships from coming to a standstill. You will travel to vessels as needed and possess excellent communication and customer-friendly skills. By taking these administrative and user-centric approaches, you will enhance the user experience and ensure successful application support.

Your responsibilities as a functional application administrator

  • Act as the primary contact for application users, addressing inquiries, FAQs, and providing guidance on application usage.
  • Prepare and update training manuals and materials for users.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders for application support and major improvements.
  • Provide guidance to users for daily issues and ensure effective communication of improvements and updates about the application.
  • Provide and organize training sessions for new users.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for hotfixes and changes, and assist users in testing new functionalities.

Your qualities and experience

You can move ahead as a functional application administrator if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant background and experience in other asset management systems like Maximo etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with various stakeholders effectively.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

Responsibilities:
