Description
As a Functional Safety Management Expert, you will plan, organize, and control all functional safety activities throughout the product development lifecycle. Your mission is to ensure compliance with ISO 26262 and deliver safe, reliable solutions for our customers in the automotive industry. What You’ll Do Define and manage all safety-related activities across project and product lifecycles in line with ISO 26262, including confirmation measures, verification reviews, and safety case development. Tailor safety processes and work products to meet compliance requirements. Create, maintain, and update the Safety Plan and Safety Case Report. Interface with customers and suppliers on functional safety topics, including Development Interface Agreements (DIAs). Drive execution and monitor progress of safety activities, ensuring timely corrective actions. Support process definition for functional safety-relevant components and collaborate on SW tool qualification. Coach project teams on interpreting ISO 26262 clauses and provide recurring safety status assessments. Prepare and present high-level safety dashboards, reporting risks, actions, and escalations to management. What We’re Looking For: Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical field. Functional Safety Manager certification (e.g., TÜV Automotive Functional Safety Professional). 5+ years in the automotive industry. 3–5 years in ISO 26262 safety roles, with at least 2 years as a Safety Manager. Hands-on experience with electric products and embedded software. Strong knowledge of electric product system architecture (hardware and software).
