Dana is searching for a skilled and motivated software engineer in the field of drive & motion safety-critical control systems. As responsible for the safety related software, you will contribute to the design, development & testing of production intended control software for systems and components for off-highway and commercial vehicle applications.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master of Science in Mechatronics, Software, Electronics or Electromechanical Engineering
  • Minimum working experience of at least 1, preferably 3 years in the industrial sector
  • Work experience showing applied knowledge in safety related software for embedded systems is an advantage
  • Excellent command of English (spoken & written)
  • Good command of Dutch is a strong advantage, at minimum the willingness to learn is required due to the strong collaborative nature of the job.

Responsibilities
  • As Functional Safety Software Engineer in that team, you are responsible for the compliance of all safety related software with the relevant functional safety standards.
  • You ensure all work products of the safety related software needed as evidence of compliance are available, starting from system level requirements to software design, development & testing.
  • You represent the software team on the subject of functional safety, working closely together with the functional safety lead engineer in the system engineering team and the test engineers in the V&V team.
  • You support the engineering project manager in the planning, monitoring & control of the safety related software activities.
  • You coach the software team to increase the skills of functional safety applied in the embedded software domain.
  • You continuously improve the software team processes to ensure they cover the relevant functional safety standards.
  • You work autonomously with support of your team lead.
