THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Functional Site Deployment Specialist to oversee the roll-out of electronic health record (EHR) software solutions at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). You will use a deep understanding of EHR systems, healthcare IT, project management, and software deployment processes. This role requires an execution-minded driver with a discipline to manage to a schedule, an ability to identify and mitigate risk, and a passion for improving healthcare through technology for our country’s veterans.
This is a field-facing support role that assists with critical path success by helping to identify and mitigate site-level issues. You will have project management responsibilities, including the developing of work plans and the monitoring of activities to ensure success. You will help to facilitate the assessment, alignment, and optimization of clinical or functional areas to meet EHR Modernization (EHRM) pre-deployment requirements. You will be a key point of contact for the coordination of functional workflow configuration projects and efforts. You will align clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders across the organization.
You’ll apply a broad understanding of the principles of computer and information science to the advancement of healthcare, including clinical informatics. You’ll have the chance to apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts by helping to solve unusually complex problems with highly innovative solutions. Additionally, you may mentor or supervise employees. This position is a Hybrid role with Booz Allen. Candidate is expected to work on-site at a Booz Allen or Client Facility 20-50% of your time, as needed.
