Make a Real Impact as a Functional Skills English and Maths Tutor. Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with SEN or SEHM needs? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors. You’ll provide personalised, 1:1 support in Functional Skills English and Maths for Level 1 students. These online and in-person sessions in Hackney offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment. This job is initially fully online, then will move to be in-person in the Hackney area. Day(s): Monday - Friday Hour(s): 15 hrs/week Time(s): 11am - 12pm and 2pm - 4pm (subject to change once tuition is moved in-person) Subject and Level: Functional Skills Entry Level 1 English and Maths Start date: February 2nd Rate of pay: £35 p/h What You'll Do Provide 1:1 tuition that is appropriate for the individuals needs and study level Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student Provide targeted support for students with SEN and/or SEMH Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in Regularly reporting updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager We're looking for someone who has: A Bachelor’s degree 1+ years of tutoring / teaching experience. Experience working with students with SEN and/or SEMH needs. An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The right to be self employed in the UK Tutors with a passion for creativity, art, fashion, design, and street art are encouraged to apply.
