Job Description

Tasks – What to expect from us:

  • Responsible to generate, promote, and evaluate innovative ideas across all the series released products, to reduce product costs, without compromising the product functionality, quality, safety, performance, and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze designs, materials and manufacturing processes, and benchmark products and processes to suggest alternatives
  • Coordinating, monitoring and assigning work packages to the VAVE support team (Value Analysis & Value Engineering)
  • Responsibility for driving cost reduction measures end to end and reporting the savings
  • Responsibility for preparing and monitoring project milestones, deliverables, business cases, and savings achieved while maintaining relevant reports and documentation
  • Identification of potential risks and preparation of mitigation plans
  • Accountable for implementing the identified measures in series production and contributing towards Project’s annual Cost Reduction targets
  • Interdisciplinary cooperation with the engineering, procurement and production departments as well as with suppliers at several global locations

Qualifications – Who we are looking for:

  • Successfully completed technical or scientific studies
  • Several years of project management experience and experience with multi-project management
  • Understanding of product design, development, change management and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency with CAD and PLM tools (preferably PTC Creo and Windchill), SAP, DFMEA, ISO GD&T standards, DFA/DFM principles
  • Knowledge of cost estimation tools or VAVE an advantage
  • Relevant experience with combustion engines and Generator Systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English and German
