What we need you for

As a Functional Tester, you play a crucial role within our software development. You are the point of contact for software quality and ensure that new functionalities, updates, and POS integrations work flawlessly before going live for the entrepreneurs who rely on our systems.

You test the functionality of our Point of Sale (POS) software solutions on various devices and environments. Among other things, you ensure that inventory integrations and daily checkout operations run flawlessly, so that the retailer and the customer at the checkout are never faced with surprises.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Analyzing user stories and designing from our Agile/Scrum team.
• Developing, maintaining, and executing accurate test scenarios and test cases for our POS software.
• Thoroughly testing new features, hardware interactions, and POS integrations.
• Identifying, clearly documenting, and following up on bugs in close collaboration with the developers and the Product Owner.
• Performing regression testing on new software releases to guarantee continuity in the workplace for entrepreneurs.
• Contribute ideas for the continuous improvement of test processes and overall software quality.

Who are you?

You combine strong analytical skills with a practical, results-oriented approach. You have an eye for detail, can easily empathize with the needs of the shopkeeper at the checkout, and speak the language of our software developers effortlessly.

Bring this with you

• Higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level (preferably in the field of IT or Computer Science).
• Experience as a Functional Tester in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Knowledge of test methodologies (such as TMap or ISTQB is a plus).
• Affinity with cash register and POS systems, transaction processing, and/or retail software.
• You are accurate, proactive, independent, and have strong communication skills.
