Fund Accountant

DESCRIPTION:

• Perform fund accounting tasks as directed by supervisor, including transaction processing, corporate actions, security pricing, reconciliation, fee calculations, and preparing accurate and timely reports and accounting schedules.
• Prepare annual financial statements following relevant accounting standards like US GAAP, IFRS, or SFRS.
• Oversee transfer agency duties such as investor onboarding, capital calls, distributions, subscriptions, redemptions, and conducting investor due diligence.
• Work with external advisors to prepare GST and tax compliance filings.
• Assist with regulatory reporting and perform other tasks as needed by the role and business requirements.
• Confirm transactions with brokers/custodians ahead of market deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify, analyze and resolve issues.Ensure adherence to financial and regulatory policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma in Accounting or other relevant qualifications.
• Have any finance-related certificate or be interested in obtaining one, such as ACCA, CFA, CPA, FRM.
• Junior experience are open to apply.
• Basic knowledge on financial products i.e Equities, Fixed Income and Derivatives.
• MS office proficiency (Excel specifically, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables and formulas) with VBA, SQL knowledge considered a benefit.
• Strong sense of client services, good communication skills and a sense of teamwork.
• Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a fast paced environment.
