The Role
A leading international provider of private wealth, corporate, and fund administration services is seeking an experienced Fund Accountant to join their expanding Dubai team by July 2025. This role offers strong career growth opportunities, with a potential promotion to Director level within 1–2 years, as the business scales in the Middle East. Role Overview: The Fund Accountant will oversee the financial operations of ADGM-regulated funds, lead a small team, and ensure full compliance with regulatory and tax requirements. Working closely with the Business Development Director, you’ll support client relationships and business expansion across the region. Key Responsibilities: Fund Administration & Financial Reporting • Prepare NAV statements, capital accounts, and financial reports aligned with international accounting standards. • Manage the general ledger, reconciliations, and bookkeeping using Allvue. • Coordinate year-end audits and draft financial statements. Regulatory Compliance • Act as the in-house technical expert for ADGM regulations. • Ensure fund compliance with all regulatory reporting and deadlines. • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on compliance-related issues. Tax Oversight • Coordinate tax information for external advisers and review tax deliverables. • Supervise the accuracy of investor tax statements and quarterly BAS reports. Investor Relations & Treasury • Oversee cash forecasting and capital calls/distributions. • Address investor queries regarding holdings and regulatory filings.

Requirements

• Recognized accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent). • Minimum 5 years’ fund accounting experience, with 3+ years focused on ADGM funds. • Eligible for ADGM regulatory approval. • Proficiency in Allvue or similar fund administration platforms. • Prior team leadership experience in a fund services environment. Preferred Attributes: • Familiarity with DIFC and various fund types (e.g., Exempt, QIFs). • Strong grasp of the regional investment and regulatory landscape. • Effective communicator with a client-first mindset. • Track record of contributing to business development initiatives.
