As a Fund Accountant, you must manage ad hoc activities next to your daily work. In this position, you need to prioritize what is important and have a hands on, flexible, service minded work mentality. You are proactive, know what you are capable of, possess excellent communication. Having a helicopter view is essential, since you are responsible for financial processes and reporting deadlines for a portfolio of clients and structures.
Qualifications for this profile:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in business administration, accounting or equivalent;
- A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant work experience in fund accounting within the financial or corporate service industry;
- Comfortable with communicating with clients, advisors, auditors and other relevant parties;
- Experience with FIS (fka Investran – fund accounting and administration system) is preferred;
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (Dutch GAAP/ IFRS);
- Outstanding organizational, analytical and leadership skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Self-motivated and aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving;
- Able to work independently and as a part of a team; and
- Fluent in English (both orally and in writing), fluent in Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities:
As a Fund Accountant (FA), you will be part of our Fund Services team and you will work closely together with legal and accounting colleagues in our Amsterdam office. You will be responsible for a wide range of administrative and financial tasks for a growing portfolio of Private Equity, Venture Capital, Private Debt and Hedge Funds as well as SPV’s. The FA is expected to continuously develop both personally as well as professionally and deliver added value to the financial discipline within Trustmoore and contribute to the further growth of our office.
Main responsibilities are:
- Set-up and maintain financial administrations, databases and accounting records;
- Prepare periodic financial reports, NAV reports, management reports and cash flow statements;
- Prepare and review of statutory annual financial statements (Dutch GAAP);
- Oversee cash management activities, including management of bank accounts and payment instructions;
- Monitor client transactions and the structures supporting;
- Manage client relationship by maintaining relationships with client’s operational staff and participating in and support preparation of client meetings;
- Organize and plan work efficiently to ensure timely and accurate completion of agreed deliverables;
- Handle additional finance and administrative tasks as required by the role and the business; and
- Actively share financial and accounting knowledge with global offices.
- Maintain close contact with auditors, (tax) advisors, lawyers, notaries, banks, custodians, brokers and other external parties.
