FUND DEVELOPER & COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST (CONTRACT, PART-TIME)

About the Role
Genesis Worship Center supports reentry housing and services for justice-involved adults in Alameda County. We’re seeking a motivated Fund Developer & Communications Specialist to drive grants, fundraising, and digital outreach. Target: help secure $700,000+/year across grants, donations, and contracts. Occasional site visits in Oakland required.

Compensation

• Hourly: $40/hr, up to 20 hrs/week.
• Contractor: 1099; responsible for own taxes, insurance, and benefits (no employee benefits).
• Bonus (for awarded grants; paid only from unrestricted funds, not from the grant award):
• Up to $100,000: 5% (cap $5,000)
• $100,001–$250,000: 4% (cap $10,000)
• $250,001–$500,000: 3% (cap $15,000)
• $500,001+: 2% (cap $20,000)
• Annual bonus cap: $25,000–$30,000 total
• Payout timing: Bonuses paid only as funds are received; if paid in installments, bonus is paid proportionally. No advances on anticipated funds.
• RFP/Service Contracts: If asked to support an RFP, compensation will be negotiated with the Executive Director based on scope/complexity.
