Title: Fund Development Associate
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (occasional after hour flexibility is required)

Supervisor: Manager of Fund Development & Communications
Sistering is a multi-service agency which offers practical and emotional support to women and trans people facing a variety of challenging life circumstances, including poverty, homelessness, social isolation, mental health and trauma histories.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Fund Development Associate will play a key role in supporting the success of Sistering’s fund development activities, including donor relations, gift processing, event coordination, and communications. Reporting to the Manager of Fund Development and Communications, the Associate will help ensure smooth and effective fundraising operations that support Sistering’s mission.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2–3 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit administration
• Experience with donor databases (CanadaHelps, Raiser’s Edge, or similar)
• Experience with using MailChimp and Canva
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) tax receipting guidelines
• Comfort working independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and anti-oppression practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with online fundraising platforms is an asset
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for fundraising events
• Graphic (Canva) and web design (WordPress) experience considered an asset.
