Fund Operations Analyst - Boston, MA
A premier investment management firm in Boston, MA is seeking a Fund Operations Analyst to join their growing team. This position will act as a central point of contact between internal stakeholders and the Funds Group, supporting a diverse investor base across the firm’s Alternatives and Global Fund offerings. The role will be responsible for facilitating investor onboarding and offboarding, overseeing client reporting deliverables, maintaining data accuracy, and managing key client service functions—including RFIs, capital activity, and distributions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in fund operations or client service within an investment management environment.
This is a 6-month contract role offering $33–$40 per hour based on experience, based on a 40-hour work week. The position requires onsite presence in the firm’s Boston office four days per week.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment management, client service, or fund operations.
  • Solid understanding of hedge funds and private equity funds is essential.
  • Experience with fund investor onboarding and offboarding is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach and a willingness to learn.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to assess complex situations and provide strategic solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the administrative components of fund investor onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Contribute to investor-related initiatives, including system upgrades and process optimization efforts.
  • Coordinate the rollout of new deliverables via internal systems and partner with the Fund Reporting team to document workflows.
  • Serve as a point of contact for fund-related inquiries, including topics such as swing pricing, tax matters, reporting, and performance.
  • Communicate fund updates and information to investors in a clear and professional manner.
  • Provide technical support to investors, including assistance with client portal access and password resets.
  • Support updates to fund documentation and investor communication materials.
  • Prepare and complete recurring deliverables, such as operational due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) and requests for information (RFIs).
  • Maintain oversight of fund data and ensure timely delivery of recurring data-related tasks.
  • Coordinate fund data requirements with external platforms and distribution partners.
