About the role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Funder to support our closing and funding operations. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and quality-checking signed closing documents to ensure accuracy and validity before releasing funds. You will collaborate with title partners and internal stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to funding. Once funding is completed, you will be responsible for closing and finalizing the dockets in our internal system. Your responsibilities Receive and review/QC the scanned/digital copies of the signed Closing documents prior to funding. Confirm all documentation is properly executed, legible, and complete. Verify all closing conditions have been satisfied. Be the first point of contact for funding-related inquiries and questions as they arise. Track and resolve any funding delays and communicate internally and externally with the title company to resolve any issues. Submit the wire request using the company’s procedure. Close and complete assigned fundings within the internal production system after disbursement. Coordinate with title prior to funding that the wire amount is correct. About you 1–3 years of mortgage funding experience, with strong knowledge of real estate documents and escrow processes. Experience communicating with title companies, counties, and other external parties involved in the recording process. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) or Google Workspace (G-suite), and familiar with Salesforce or other CRM systems. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines. Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally across all levels of the organization and contribute to problem-solving efforts. Comfortable working under pressure and in a team-oriented setting. Compensation at Point will be determined by skills, experience, and geographic location. Point has identified the expected annual base salary for this role at this level based on the market by tiers (Region | Location | Market Salary): Tier 2 | Chicago, Austin, Denver, Boston, Washington DC, San Diego | $49,300 - $66,700 Tier 3 | All other US metro areas | $45,900 - $62,100 This does not include any other potential components of the compensation package, including equity, benefits, and perks outlined above.
