Purpose of the Position The Funding Manager will drive CADENA’s strategic funding initiatives with a focus on the U.S. and international markets.
The role requires a dynamic, relationship-oriented professional capable of engaging family foundations, corporations, individual donors, and organizing high-profile fundraising events.
This leader will play a pivotal role in building long-term financial sustainability for CADENA, securing unrestricted funds for emergency responses, education programs, and operational stability Key Responsibilities Fundraising Strategy & Diversification • Develop and implement a comprehensive international fundraising strategy to diversify CADENA’s income streams.
Relationship Building and Strategic Alliances • Establish and maintain relationships with corporate partners, family foundations, and major donors to build CADENA’s funding base.
Grant Acquisition and Monitoring • Research, identify, and apply for grant opportunities from governmental and private sources.
Leadership and Capacity Building • Provide fundraising training and capacity-building support to CADENA’s country offices, enabling them to strengthen local fundraising capabilities.
Emergency Activation • Lead the rapid activation of fundraising campaigns during disasters or humanitarian crises to secure immediate funds for response efforts.
Requirements and competences to work with us Studies • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, International Relations, or related field.
Experience • 5+ years of professional experience in fundraising, development, or strategic alliances, with a proven track record of raising at least $1–2 million USD annually.
Skills and Competencies • Exceptional Relationship Building: Ability to engage, influence, and inspire stakeholders, donors, and partners across cultural and geographical contexts.
Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
