ABOUT US

The only one of its kind in Quebec, Yaldei is a not-for-profit developmental centre and school devoted to helping children reach their full potential. Yaldei is comprised of a multi-disciplinary team of experienced therapists and educators dedicated to early intervention treatment, individualized therapies and special education programs for children from birth to 21 years. Our integration of advanced clinical, behavioral, educational and family support services provides children with the opportunity to learn how to walk, talk, play, attend school and lead productive lives as part of their community.

SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Fundraiser Executive plays a critical role in developing and running the organization’s fundraising and stewardship efforts. You will lead all fundraising efforts and events, as well as develop strategies to boost community giving activities and engage with donors to help them understand the meaningful difference their support can make.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in the education and/or health industry is a strong asset.
  • Very proactive, structured and organized. Able to autonomously develop and execute plans that deliver results.
  • Excellent problem-solving, creativity and judgement.
  • Positive leadership approach with staff and volunteers. Able to build warm and long-term relationships with donors and other stakeholders.
  • Able to delegate but must be hands-on when needed.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) as well as CRM /donor databases. Very comfortable learning new software and programs.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (spoken and written) in both English and French.
  • High degree of professionalism, able to build credibility and warm relations.

  • Capacité à déléguer, tout en étant prêt(e) à mettre la main à la pâte si nécessaire.
  • Capacité à gérer plusieurs tâches et priorités en parallèle.
  • Maîtrise avancée de Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) et des bases de données CRM / donateurs. À l’aise avec l’apprentissage de nouveaux logiciels.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication (orale et écrite) en français et en anglais.
  • Grand professionnalisme, capable de bâtir sa crédibilité et d’entretenir des relations positives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase the visibility of the organization and secure financial support from various sources such as individuals, corporations and foundations.
  • Lead special events, ensuring all details are handled and that events meet or exceed it’s goals.
  • Manage relationships with current donors, cultivate new donors and provide stewardship of donor gifts.
  • Develop, lead and execute digital strategies and campaigns.
  • Not afraid to pick up the phone to contact warm leads, past or potential donors, etc.
  • Write compelling proposals and grant applications.
  • Provide direction, training and guidance to the Fundraising Assistant. Oversee their work and provide feedback as needed.
  • Coordinate with staff in other departments to monitor, evaluate and report on program results.
  • Ensure the website and social media is kept up-to-date with latest news, service offerings, event information, etc.
  • Ensure that information and activities are kept up-to-date in the donor database.
  • Manage the development budget, track fundraising progress and ensure financial accountability.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and the organization’s leadership team to identify funding needs and develop strategies to achieve funding goals.
