Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
As the Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator (Crowdfunding Focus), you will develop and execute online fundraising campaigns to support the event. Working closely with the marketing team, you’ll use digital platforms and social media to engage the community, attract donors, and spread the word about our multicultural celebration.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Crowdfunding Familiarity: Experience with or knowledge of online fundraising tools (GoFundMe, Kickstarter, Indiegogo).
- Digital Marketing Skills: Ability to craft compelling social media content and manage engagement strategies.
- Strong Communication: Excellent writing skills for campaign updates, donor outreach, and promotional materials.
- Organization & Reporting: Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage budgets and donor databases.
- Passion for Diversity: A genuine interest in promoting cultural unity and a free community event.

Responsibilities:
- Crowdfunding Campaign Management
- Select and set up campaigns on popular platforms (e.g., GoFundMe, Kickstarter, Indiegogo).
- Craft engaging campaign narratives, goals, and regular updates to keep donors informed.
- Digital Marketing & Outreach
- Collaborate with social media volunteers to create compelling posts, videos, and graphics.
- Identify target audiences, track campaign performance, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Donor Engagement
- Cultivate relationships with individual donors through personalized messages and thank-you notes.
- Explore creative perks or recognition (e.g., shout-outs, small gifts) to motivate contributions.
- Budget & Reporting
- Monitor contributions, maintain transparent financial records, and regularly report progress to the event committee.
- Limited Sponsorship Support (Optional)
- Assist with smaller local sponsorship leads if needed, but focus primarily on crowdfunding.
