JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the leadership of the Foundation Coordinator and volunteer Board of Directors, the Fundraising Coordinator will assist with the development of community fundraising campaigns, grant and proposal writing, the execution of the Foundation’s annual fundraising events, and marketing communications, furthering the mission of the organization to increase funds for youth mental health programs across the Algoma region.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • College diploma or University degree in a relevant field such as communications, marketing, business, public relations, or event planning
  • Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Suite
  • Experience with social media – Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn
  • Experience with fundraising events
  • Experience working with/supervising volunteers
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and take initiative
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and task-oriented
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary
  • Access to own vehicle
  • Must maintain and hold a valid Ontario driver’s license
  • Must be able to provide a clean criminal record check upon hire
