Description JOB TITLE: Fundraising Coordinator BUSINESS UNIT: Leg Up Farm LOCATION: Mount Wolf, PA DEPARTMENT: Development JOB TYPE: Full-time FLSA STATUS: Exempt WORK SCHEDULE: 40+Hrs/Wk, Days & Occasional Evenings & Weekends REPORTS TO: Development Director DIRECT / INDIRECT REPORTS: None PRIMARY INTERNAL CONTACTS: President/CEO, Executive Leadership Team, Development Director, Department Heads, Staff Members, Interns, and Volunteers PRIMARY EXTERNAL CONTACTS: Individual and Corporate Donors, Foundations, Government Agencies and Legislators, Civic Groups, and Leg Up Farm Clients and Families JOB SUMMARY The Fundraising Coordinator plays a crucial role in fundraising and community outreach as a member of the Development team. This role actively works to cultivate relationships with individual and corporate donors, foundations, government agencies and legislators, and civic groups, along with Leg Up Farm clients and families in efforts to solicit, engage, advocate and/or partner with them on various development initiatives. These initiatives include fundraising efforts such as grant writing, special events, social media, and awareness activities. As part of the Development team, the Fundraising Coordinator will explore and develop new opportunities for both the financial growth of Leg Up Farm and brand awareness of the organization. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FUNDRAISING Cultivate relationships with individual and corporate donors, foundations, government agencies and legislators, and civic groups via both conventional and innovative fundraising methods. Identify and solicit corporate sponsors. Identify and approach individual donors regarding gifting opportunities. Cultivate donor relations via regular contact and communications, including face-to-face interactions and tours of Leg Up Farm’s facility. Research and identify individual and foundation donors who may support Leg Up Farm programs and specific funding needs. Assist in grant writing efforts. Assist with the organization’s special events. Maintain donor specific data, including tracking direct donor contacts and communications. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT Engage with community members to further Leg Up Farm’s mission, raise awareness, and increase service provision. Establish and cultivate strong relationships with peers across the organization and throughout the community. Present the mission of Leg Up Farm through speaking engagements, facility tours, networking events, and other community engagement activities. Represent Leg Up Farm in community initiatives and events that support the organizational brand/goals/strategies and engage key community stakeholders. Assist in content creation for Leg Up Farm’s social media accounts. Assist in creating compelling communications for donors, families, and the community using a variety of methods. Engage in advocacy efforts which shine a light on the challenges Leg Up Farm clients/families face and seek solutions that better their lives. JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Required Bachelor’s Degree Preferred At least two years of work experience in fundraising, direct sales, or business development CERTIFICATIONS & TRAININGS Required Completion of new staff orientation trainings Completion of First Aid and CPR/AED Trainings Completion of Mandated Reporter and child abuse trainings Involvement on board or committee of nonprofit or civic organization(s) CLEARANCES / BACKGROUND CHECKS, MEDICAL EXAMS, & DRUG TESTING Required Current State Child Abuse History Clearance Current State Police Record Check Current Federal Criminal Background Check (FBI Fingerprinting) Compliance with drug testing and satisfactory drug testing results Valid PA Driver’s license: proof of automobile registration and required insurance KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Required Ability to think strategically and creatively about “the big picture” Excellent planning and organization skills Proven track record of achieving revenue targets Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally, both orally and in writing Ability to work in a team environment to achieve desired goals Skill using computers and various software programs Strong partnership building skills Preferred Ability to work with Donor Perfect Fundraising software or comparable system PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Required Strong Commitment to Organization’s Mission, Vision, & Culture of Positive Attitude, Passion, Teamwork, and Respect High Degree of Personal Integrity and Professional Conduct High Degree of Flexibility and Dependability Deep Sense of Compassion and Responsiveness to Client’s Needs Exemplify the six Guiding Principles of Leg Up Farm: 1.
