Responsibilities

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB:

To lead the development and delivery of JHF’s Fundraising Strategy; building on our existing achievements, expanding and diversifying income streams, and securing the long-term sustainability of the charity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement the JHF Fundraising Strategy, reporting to and collaborating with the CEO to ensure this remains responsive to the charity’s aims and ambitions.
  • Work with the Programme Lead to identify services and projects that could be suitable for funding applications.
  • Research and write grant applications to charitable trusts and foundations.
  • Support the monitoring of successful funding applications in collaboration with the Programme Lead and create impact reports to demonstrate outcomes.
  • Work with the Finance & Operational Lead to scope and develop systems to grow our fundraising potential including the development of a donor database.
  • Evidence impact through the writing of compelling case studies for internal and external use.
  • Support the work of our Community Engagement Lead and JHF Fundraising committee with the organisation of events to increase donations and engagement.
  • Implement effective campaigns and activity that increase corporate fundraising opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with donors ensuring that gifts are acknowledged and donors kept informed and involved.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent the JHF to the highest possible standard at appropriate events and meetings with varied external stakeholders.
  • Support effective risk management in relation to fundraising.
  • Undertake other relevant duties within the scope of the role when required.
