Description
What You Will Do: The Preneed Administrative Assistant reviews submitted funeral pre-arrangement (pre-need) contracts for completeness and accuracy in accordance with company policies and procedures and compliance with state laws, rules, and regulations. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills. * Processes pre-need (cremation and burial contract) paperwork * Reviews contracts and related paperwork for completeness and accuracy * Ensures all files are in order, and all required signatures and initials are completed * Contacts sales counselors to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data * Scans contracts into the contract software system and verify contract has been completed correctly in the paperless contracts system * Enters funeral and cremation prearrangement revenue into QuickBooks * Provides excellent customer service to external and internal clients, primarily via phone and email forms of communication * Assists with special projects as requested What We Require: * Minimum three years of administrative or related experience * Organizational and planning skills; time management skills, and the ability to prioritize work * High attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent follow-up skills * Ability to follow detailed instructions and receive/apply constructive feedback with a positive attitude * Ability to identify and resolve problems while asking for assistance/guidance when necessary * Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Strong communication skills and high levels of compassion and integrity
