JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Furnace Operator to join a growing team in a manufacturing and heat-treating environment. This position is ideal for someone with a background in machine operation or manufacturing who is looking to advance their skills in a dynamic and essential industry.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or furnace operation role
• Ability to read and interpret temperature readings and adjust controls accordingly
• Familiarity with safety standards in a production setting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus

• Operate and monitor various types of furnaces (oil, gas, coal, electric)
• Maintain proper furnace temperature by adjusting thermostats and observing pyrometers
• Record production data, time logs, and operational performance
• Signal overhead crane operator to remove processed material and transfer to next station
• Open and close furnace doors safely and efficiently
• Load/unload materials and fuel into the furnace
• Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing materials
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
