Description The Furniture Assembler is responsible for assembling upholstered furniture frames and related components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position supports production goals by ensuring products are assembled accurately, safely, and efficiently while maintaining Jonathan Louis International (“JL”) quality standards. Furniture Assemblers work closely with team members and production leadership to support daily workflow and customer delivery expectations. Job Responsibilities Read and interpret production schedules, work orders, and assembly instructions accurately. Assemble furniture frames and related wood components using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and manufacturing equipment. Adjust, trim, align, and fit parts to ensure proper assembly and product quality. Inspect materials and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with JL quality standards. Operate tools and equipment such as staple guns, screwdrivers, pneumatic tools, and other assembly machinery safely and effectively. Identify and communicate quality, material, or production concerns to leadership in a timely manner. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety standards and procedures. Follow all company policies, procedures, production guidelines, and safety requirements. Support teamwork and collaboration across departments to ensure efficient production flow and achievement of daily production goals. Represent JL positively and professionally in interactions with coworkers, leadership, customers, and visitors. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support operational and departmental needs. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 1–3 years of manufacturing, furniture assembly, woodworking, or related production experience preferred. Experience working in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to safely use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and assembly equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately. Good communication and teamwork skills. Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time. Ability to lift, push, pull, or move materials and furniture components within established weight guidelines. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include varying temperatures, noise, dust, and limited climate control. Ability to safely operate production tools and equipment throughout the work shift.
