Future Opportunities Intern Quality & Regulatory Compliance – Digital Quality (Summer 2026)    Location:  Remote Duration:  Summer 2026   The Hershey Company is seeking a summer intern to manage and support small-to-medium sized projects on our Digital Quality team. The positions will be focused on Digital Quality related Food Safety Quality functions. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain meaningful experience in the digital aspects of Food Safety and Food Quality functions.   Overview of Internship and Potential Projects Data Analytics & Data Science Create actionable metrics that capture risk modeling from food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance Generate scorecards and reports that evaluate the effectiveness of our product excellence programs Leverage datasets from various software systems used for food safety and quality Supplier Quality Management Quality Incident Management Master Sanitation Scheduling Environmental Microbiological Monitoring Laboratory Information Management Product Lifecyle Management Internal and External Auditing Innovation- R&D Create and execute a data governance process for food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance data Evaluate data integrity and process mapping to improve data hygiene Use digital and software tools for horizon scanning and compliance Manage your own project and support other Digital Quality initiatives Tools include Snowflake, SAP Datasphere, PowerBI, Alteryx, Collibra,  SAP Analytics Cloud, Databricks   Business Process Mapping & Automation Map the end to end business process across multiple food safety and quality functional teams with the intent to automate and optimize Regulatory Registration changes International Market compliance Specialty program ingredient review, such as Non-GMO or Kosher Product Recalls and Withdrawals Create a PowerApp or Python App for tracking Choking Hazards process Create a PowerApp or Python App for Regulatory Contaminates Review current documentation practices and existing tools to automate or optimize Allergy Statements Contract Partner Manual Shelf Life Guiderails Product Excellence Program Food Defense Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), or Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to improve any of the processes above Manage your own project and support other Digital Quality initiatives     Required Skills Strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and excellent interpersonal skills Verbal and written communication skills are critical in this assignment Strong computer skills Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel; SAP experience a plus Experience with any of the following tools will help determine the best project for you PowerAutomate, PowerApps, SharePoint, Teams Programming languages such as SQL, Python, C# Analytics Tools, such as SAP Analytics Cloud, PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau Data warehousing and marketplaces, such as SAP Datasphere, Snowflake, or Collibra, are a plus Able to effectively address all levels within the organization Strong influencing and leadership skills with the ability to challenge decisions and facilitate change Exemplary organizational skills Ability to respond to a diversity of requests Ability to work in a remote team-oriented environment and be able to assist in different areas where needed Must be detail-oriented Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment The successful candidate must be capable of working independently after receiving direction **Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) while working in the production and office areas   Requirements Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program Preferred declared majors are data analytics, data science, food science, chemistry, biology, or a similar discipline A minimum overall GPA of 2.8 is required, an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred     Please be advised that The Hershey Company welcomes all applicants to internships.
