Position Title: Part-Time Facilities Assistant Department: Facilities / Operations Reports To: Director of Facilities (or Facilities Manager) Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt Position Summary The Part-Time Facilities Assistant supports the day-to-day maintenance and operational needs of the college’s campus facilities. This role assists in maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Assist with routine maintenance tasks including minor repairs, basic carpentry, painting, and equipment upkeep. * Support campus set-up and breakdown for meetings, events, and classroom needs. * Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed. * Conduct routine inspections of campus facilities and report maintenance issues. * Assist with snow removal, grounds maintenance, and seasonal campus upkeep as needed. * Respond to facilities requests submitted by campus departments. * Maintain tools, equipment, and storage areas in an organized and safe manner. * Follow institutional safety procedures and facilities protocols. * Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Basic knowledge of building maintenance, facilities operations, or related experience preferred. * Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, moving equipment, and working indoors and outdoors. * Ability to work independently and follow directions. * Strong attention to safety and detail. Work Environment This position requires physical activity including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods. Work may occur both indoors and outdoors and may include exposure to varying weather conditions. Pennsylvania Institute of Technology shall, in its discretion, modify or adjust the position to meet the school’s changing needs.
