PROJECT MANAGER DEPT: Fuller Youth Institute POSITION TYPE: Full Time (40 hrs/week) STATUS: Non-exempt REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Partnership, Training, and DEI LOCATION: Pasadena or Remote Brief description: FYI is seeking a versatile, high-capacity Project Manager to drive our mission forward across multiple domains. This cross-functional, essential role is built for a generalist who thrives on variety. Whether you are leading a research initiative, overseeing a content creation pipeline, or launching a new training curriculum, you are the engine that ensures ideas become reality. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of ministry and project management experience and is capable of balancing our mission with project deadlines. Essential Functions: * Project Management * Simultaneously manage 3–5 high-priority projects across different areas of FYI (Research, Content, Training, etc.). * Collaborate with others on the team to define project goals, success metrics, and completion timeline. * Constantly evaluate the urgency and importance of tasks across different streams, making decisions on what moves forward and what is delayed with the supervisor’s input. * Proactively identify potential problems in projects and develop contingency plans before the project stalls. * Build and optimize processes in our PM software (e.g., Asana) * Organize and maintain for every project meeting notes, draft versions, and final assets. * Build out templates for recurring processes to be more efficient. * Grant Management * Track budgets, external contractors, and follow internal systems to ensure projects stay within scope for assigned grants. * Manage relationships with vendors on projects where outside services are needed in partnership with the Director of Creative Production. * Monitor project-specific spending to ensure resources are utilized efficiently and stay within the approved fiscal parameters. * Content Development: * Apply a deep understanding of ministry contexts to create or assist with blog posts, curriculum, training resources, and digital courses. * Partner with the FYI Training team to manage the development and launch of digital courses for church leaders through FULLER EQUIP Knowledge and Skills Required: * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent * Two to three years of project coordination experience required * Youth or young adult ministry experience required * Research experienced preferred * Event-planning experience preferred * Proven ability to provide superb customer service * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Strong computer skills, with competence in Microsoft Suite, Keynote, Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar, etc. * Project management software (Asana or similar software) preferred * Works well under pressure and can manage pressing requests and situations * Able to prioritize multiple tasks * Close attention to deadlines, accuracy, and details * Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team Additional Remarks: * Must be willing to abide by Fuller Community Standards [https://www.fuller.edu/about/mission-and-values/community-standards/] * This position is available for remote work within the United States subject to payroll state tax approval by Fuller Seminary Pay Scale: * Hourly rate the seminary expects to pay: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour USD Fuller Theological Seminary is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
