Description
Responsibilities Infrastructure Architecture & Platform Engineering Design, implement, secure, and operate enterprise Kubernetes (EKS) clusters on GCC+. Architect and maintain cloud-agnostic, portable infrastructure that can be deployed across different Kubernetes environments. Ensure workloads, configurations, and platform components remain decoupled from vendor-specific services. Deploy, manage, and optimize the Incident Response Management (IRM) platform using Helm. Maintain platform reliability through high availability, multi-zone resilience, monitoring, and self-healing capabilities. Backend Development & Automation Design and develop backend services, APIs, platform tooling, and automation solutions using Golang. Build and maintain SRE, DevOps, and operational tooling to improve platform efficiency and reliability. Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation. Support frontend teams through technical oversight where required. Technical Leadership Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and best practices. Conduct code reviews and promote high standards of software quality, testing, and maintainability. Drive Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives. Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and deliver scalable solutions. Engineering Governance Author and maintain technical documentation, including RFCs (Request for Comments) and ADRs (Architecture Decision Records). Ensure architectural decisions are well-documented, reviewed, and aligned with engineering standards. Promote engineering excellence, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team. Requirements Technical Skills Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS), Helm, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC). Proven experience designing and operating secure, highly available cloud infrastructure. Strong expertise in Golang for backend development, systems programming, and automation. Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and platform engineering solutions. Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, containerization, and microservices. Experience designing portable and platform-agnostic Kubernetes deployments. Leadership & Delivery Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers. Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and sprint-based delivery. Ability to translate business and platform requirements into scalable technical solutions. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with GCC+ (Government Commercial Cloud). Experience in regulated or security-sensitive environments such as Government, Financial Services, Healthcare, or Defence. Familiarity with infrastructure security, compliance requirements, and platform hardening practices.
