Our Chalk River location is looking for Group 2 Radiation Surveyors to provide Radiation Protection support to workers. If you answered yes, then this may be the job for you!

• Performing daily contamination control tasks.
• Confirming radiological conditions throughout work.
• Completing job-minding for tasks within the scope of Group 2 Radiation Surveyor work.
• Executing the dress and undress of Personal Protective Equipment following a defined procedure.
• Assisting with and performing minor decontamination tasks within the scope of Group 2 Radiation Surveyor work.
• Completing function checks and source checks of Radiation Protection instruments.
• Completing contamination monitoring on active and non-active waste.
• Maintaining inventory of Radiation Protection supplies and Personal Protective Equipment, and submitting orders based on established area procedures.
• Successfully completing all required Radiation Protection training.
• Completing all other required training for the work area.
• Regularly completing bioassay requirements within the specified timeframes for each test.
• Escalating any moderate to complex issues as required.
• Assisting with training, coaching, and mentoring junior RP staff through the development of skills, by demonstrating techniques, and/or describing suitable methods.
• Other duties as assigned by your manager.
