Knowledge

  • A professional qualification in accountancy or an MBA with post-qualification experience.

Responsibilities

This exciting opportunity will help in setting up a new GP & Carry Scheme’s accounting & administration function. The role will involve developing systems and processes with strong institutional controls.

Key Responsibilities (this list is not exhaustive)

  • Perform end-to-end accounting, preparation/review of financial statements (US GAAP/IFRS), quarterly/adhoc group reporting within accelerated timelines.
  • Carry out all fund administration functions in relation to the in-house managed Schemes involving preparation & dissemination of LP drawdown & distribution notices, distribution payments, handling LP queries, tax reporting, keeping LP records updated (KYC, banking, contact information) etc.
  • Accurate management of dues from and to LPs including regular follow ups with them.
  • Working closely with the Fund Operations team in gathering inputs and develop the transaction understanding to ensure that accounting and reporting are in line with main funds’ books.
  • Timely on-boarding of new schemes and setting them up on the systems.
  • Support the Fund Operations team in the smooth execution of funds flow of investments and exits.
  • Driving consistency in accounting, administration and reporting of the GP Schemes managed by external administrators.
  • Regular vendor management to ensure that all the vendor invoices are managed within defined timelines and accurately.
  • Assisting the team in automation and streamlining the group quarterly/annual reporting.
  • Support the regular review of Limited Partnership Agreements of the Schemes to ensure their full compliance.
  • Support the year end audit and ensure high quality and timely reporting.
  • Work closely with the Analytics team in providing necessary inputs in developing various analytical models & LP dashboards.
  • Review and sign off the output shared by the Fund Operations team related to carry workings, distribution and capacity analysis.
  • Responsible for regularly updating budget vs. actual costs spent and providing inputs for better cost management.
