About the Role: Gallery Bar Bartender As our Gallery Bar Bartender, you will play an integral role in delivering an exceptional guest experience while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Deliver exceptional guest service by creating a welcoming, professional, and engaging bar experience. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of cocktail recipes, premium spirits, wines, beers, and menu offerings to make recommendations and upsell effectively. Accurately process orders and payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system while handling cash and credit transactions. Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure compliance with California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) regulations and all applicable alcohol service laws. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift, including replenishing inventory, preparing garnishes, and restocking supplies. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards to ensure a safe and hygienic work environment. Collaborate with servers, barbacks, kitchen staff, and management to provide seamless, efficient service during high-volume periods and special events. Perform opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, inventory counts, and equipment maintenance. Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management to minimize shortages and waste. Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when appropriate. Minimum 1–2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume bar, restaurant, hotel, or upscale hospitality environment preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age. Extensive knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, beer, wine, and premium spirits. Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to create memorable guest experiences. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong cash handling, POS system, and basic math skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with luxury hospitality standards. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain composed under pressure. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with front-of-house, back-of-house, and hotel staff. Food Handler Card preferred or ability to obtain as required by local regulations. Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred Valid California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification required or ability to obtain prior to employment.
