Description

Job Title: Game Developer
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
Location: Full time office based - Unit 4-7, West Point Business Park, Westmead, Aylesford, ME20 6XJ
Reports to: Chief Technical Officer
Salary: Negotiable based on experience

Role Overview: As a Front-End Game Developer in a cutting-edge tech company, you will be working on industry leading products in social entertainment. Collaborating on a day-to-day basis with the creative team, to produce fun and engaging interactive and augmented reality games, for our current and future competitive socialising products. Focused on delivering the best-in-class gaming experience to hospitality venues worldwide in over 40 countries and counting.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The ‘how’ we fulfil our role is very important and therefore the following skills required for this role have been identified as;

  • Forward thinking: Establishes deadlines and works towards them, recognises the impact of the key issues. Plans and manages contract renewals in a timely manner.
  • Communication: Clear, persuasive communicator with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Trustworthy: Builds and maintains the trust of others, only makes commitments that can be met
  • Teamwork: Must be able to work as part of a team, as well as individually as and when required. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Personal Development: A keen aptitude for learning new technologies and working outside of their comfort zone.
  • Source and Version Control: Familiarity with Git source control and software management workflows, particularly with GitHub or other Git service providers and associated tools & utilities.
  • Core Skills: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), Web Animation (SVG, Rive, Lottie, Spine)
  • Nice to Have: Knowledge of Vanilla JavaScript APIs, Document Object Model (DOM), Fetch, Storage, Android Development, Java, Kotlin, Android Studio, Cordova/PhoneGap (Capacitor), Ability to understand and implement designs created in Figma
