Job Description Job Purpose: A Senior Gameplay Developer is a core contributor to the design and implementation of gameplay features that captivate players and elevate our game. You’ll work in tight collaboration with designers, artists, and other engineers to bring innovative and polished gameplay experiences to life. You will own critical gameplay systems from concept to polish, influence technical direction, and mentor junior programmers in a dynamic, player-focused studio environment. Main Responsibilities: Design and Implement Gameplay Features: Transform high-level gameplay concepts into robust, scalable, and maintainable code, ensuring features are engaging and aligned with the project vision. Collaborate Across Disciplines: Partner with game designers and artists to define feature specifications and ensure a unified creative and technical direction. Prototype Rapidly: Develop quick prototypes to test gameplay ideas and iterate based on feedback to evolve concepts into final production features. Own Systems: Take full ownership of gameplay systems including planning, development, debugging, optimization, and maintenance. Solve Problems: Engineer elegant solutions for creative and technical challenges, balancing innovation with stability and performance. Maintain Code Quality: Write clean, reusable, and efficient C++/C# code with proper documentation and adherence to best practices. Mentor & Review: Provide feedback to peers, guide junior developers, and champion best programming practices within the team. Solid knowledge of gameplay programming with experience in C++ and/or C#. Proven gameplay programming expertise in video game development. Passion for game development, with portfolio or academic examples preferred. In-depth knowledge of game development concepts including AI, animation, physics, or UI systems. Advanced knowledge of Unreal Engine (preferred) or similar engines. Proficiency with Git, Perforce, or similar version control systems. Demonstrated ability to debug complex issues and optimize gameplay systems for performance across platforms. Ability to estimate, plan, and execute feature-level tasks. Experience across multiple platforms (Windows, Android, iOS, etc.). Effective verbal and written communication in English.
