Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
Position
We are seeking a highly motivated Games Operations Legal Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to support legal operations in the planning and organization of the Olympic and Paralympic Games while also dealing with legal-commercial matters, such as supply agreements, pre-contractual documentation, and the management of commercial contracts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the sports industry and bring strong legal expertise to a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the legal team with a wide range of legal matters related to the planning and organization of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
  • Assist in the drafting of pre-contractual documentation, including letters of intent, memoranda of understanding, and binding offers.
  • Coordinate and assist in the negotiation processes during the pre-contractual and contractual phases.
  • Draft legal opinions, memoranda, and contracts (e.g., partnership, sponsorship, licensing, and supply agreements).
  • Conduct legal research using legal databases.
  • Contribute to the creation of training materials, tutorials, presentations, and FAQs for operational departments.
  • Support contract management and provide ongoing assistance in various legal matters related to commercial relationships.
  • Collaborate with multiple internal business areas to address legal and operational needs.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in law.
  • A strong academic background is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the legal sector.
  • Multi-lingual with professional proficiency in both Italian and English (written and spoken). French is an additional advantage.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to a fast-changing environment.
  • Highly collaborative with a positive attitude towards change and new ideas.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Genuine interest in the sports and/or major events industry.
  • Strong sense of integrity and the ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all legal documents.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Culturally aware and open to learning about diverse global perspectives.
