We are a small, well established, Edinburgh-based company, providing garage equipment solutions to various workshops and bodyshops across Edinburgh and the Central Belt for over 10 years. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Garage Equipment Engineer to take on a key role within the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a diverse range of garage equipment at various customer sites. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
-Proven experience as a Garage Equipment Engineer or a similar role is essential.
-A strong mechanical and electrical background.
-Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
-Experience working with a variety of garage equipment brands.
-A valid, full UK driving license.
-Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent customer service and communication skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-A proactive and flexible approach to work.

1) Carry out installations, maintenance, and repairs of various garage equipment/systems, including but not limited to:
-Vehicle Lifts (2-post, 4-post, scissor lifts)
-MOT Test Lanes (Brake testers, headlamp aligners etc)
-Pipework systems (steel, aluminium, ducting, etc)
-Tyre Changers and Wheel Balancers
-Oil/waste oil equipment and systems
-Exhaust Extraction Systems
-Compressors and air systems
2) Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults and failures accurately and efficiently, and implement improvements where possible.
3) Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including parts used, time spent, and service reports.
4) Provide clear and concise communication to customers regarding the status of their equipment and any recommendations for future maintenance or repairs.
5) Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies, within EGS and/or at different sites.
6) Manage and maintain a company-provided vehicle and its stock of parts and tools.
