Job Details Level: Management Job Location: Casino Fandango - CARSON CITY, NV 89701 Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Swing Job Category: Restaurant Back of House Garde Manger Position Summary: The Garde Manger provides essential support to our various restaurant outlets by preparing high-quality cold food items while maintaining excellent presentation, cleanliness, and food safety standards. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented culinary professional who takes pride in consistency and teamwork. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and present vegetables, salads, and cold food items for restaurant service. Ensure all food products meet company standards for quality, portioning, and presentation. Work assigned station(s) efficiently while maintaining the highest quality finished products. Follow proper food handling, knife skills, and kitchen safety procedures at all times. Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout service. Clean, disinfect, and sanitize cutting boards, worktables, and prep areas. Ensure full compliance with company policies and Health Department sanitation requirements. Maintain open and effective communication with management. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with guests, team members, and vendors. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Garde Manger or pantry experience preferred. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Qualifications Education and Experience: Must be at least 21 years of age. High School Diploma and/or GED preferred. Must have 3 to 5 years working in a kitchen, preparing cold food and salads for counter displays. Must have job related tools. Additional Requirements: Ability to maintain clean personal hygiene. Ability to work in a team and independently. Knowledge of Sushi dishes is a plus. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. The ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced, potentially stressful environment. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime. Must have the ability to successfully interact with other team members and management. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Required Work Cards Food Handlers Certification
