This role serves our customers by providing expert advice on the products we sell as well as solutions for their projects and problems. Our sales teammates spend their days outside caring for our plants, making them look their best and getting them ready for a new home. They work active days and derive satisfaction from selling alongside passionate and friendly gardeners in a fast-paced retail environment. Your Specific Job Responsibilities: Upholds Moana Nursery's strict safety policies Shows up on time ready work Greets customers with a warm smile Communicates with customers over the phone Promptly responds to customer needs, requests for service or assistance Communicates using radios to other Moana teammates Takes care of plants in our inventory (including watering, pruning, fertilizing, etc) Sells plants based on customer needs Helps customers navigate through the store and to the correct resource Maintains a clean and organized work space Participates in cleaning and organizing throughout the store Helps restock our product Learns as much as they can Answers questions concerning price, sales, services and programs Provides outstanding customer service Thanks, our customers each and every time they visit! Physical Requirements & Activity: Applicant must be able to lift 25 lbs Applicant must be able to stand for long periods of time. Applicant must be able to work outdoors for an extended period of time. Expertise & Experience Requirements: Experience or Education in Horticulture Experience or Education in Landscaping activities Nice To Have Skills or Experiences: Nursery Certified Worker Certificate Master Gardener Certification Arborist Certification QWEL Certification Your Future Work Schedule: Our retail stores are open 7 days a week and we are busiest on the weekend. We are looking for teammates that can work weekends and be flexible to accommodate the changing retail environment. Please make sure you list your availability on the application. Your Future Salary & Benefits: The starting rate for this position is $15.00 per hour and increases based on experience, expertise and responsibilities.
