Description Kimberton Whole Foods is looking for a Part-Time Team Member to join our Garden & Gift Shop! Requirements: Part-time, up to 20 hours/week. Sundays are required. Schedule: Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday. Mix of shifts between hours of 9am-6pm. Flexible availability on these days is required. Pay: $15-$16/hr to start. Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older. Benefits: Part-time team members are eligible for a 15% store discount after 60 days and a 401K with matching 3% after one year and 1000 hours worked. DAILY OPERATIONS: The Garden & Gift Team Member’s primary responsibilities to execute the following. • Provides exceptional customer service to all by greeting them with friendly eye contact and individually thanking them for their business. • Opens and closes the Garden & Gift shop. • Responsible for cash register during opening and closing of Garden & Gift shop. • Receives, prices and transfers merchandising orders. • Performs price checks as needed and restocks returned products in a timely manner. • Maintains care for all plants in and outside of the gift shop. • Responds promptly to customer needs & questions • Assists with Garden Shops events and Marketing events. • Performs other duties as assigned by the Garden & Gift Department Head. Requirements KEY ATTRIBUTES: • A basic knowledge of plants and gardening or an interest in plants and gardening. • Knowledge of basic computer skills. • Excellent communication skills: oral and written. • Motivated to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. • Ability to work in warm and cold environments. Physical Capabilities: Full Sense Range (Vision, Hearing, and Sense of Smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color and smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with customers and co-workers. Lifting, Gripping and Carrying Objects – Up to 50 to 75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools, and other products. Stooping, Squatting, and Kneeling – Stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts. Walking – Short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas. Standing – Prolonged standing. Work Environment – Movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking/standing) rather than sedentary (sitting). Climate – Ability to work in cold environments (cooler, freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
The primary duties involve executing daily operations for the Garden & Gift shop, which includes providing exceptional customer service, opening and closing the shop, and managing the cash register.
