Gardener and grounds person required for a small residential home, just outside the village of Betley.
Doddlespool Hall is a 17th century building, set in substantial gardens, surrounded by beautiful countryside. We are part of the Cinnabar Support and Living group, who values their employees, and can offer higher than average rates of pay, along with a health and wellbeing programme for all staff.
We are looking for an enthusiastic gardener and Grounds person, who can help enhance and develop our large garden and outdoor areas, and ensure that the grounds are maintained to a high standard, that will be accessible for residents, their families, and staff. There may be also some occasions when we require additional support for our maintenance officer, regarding general tasks.
The ideal candidate will either have professional gardening experience, or be a keen gardener who has maintained large gardens or grounds. All equipment is provided, along with the necessary PPE required to carry out the role safely, in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations.
The role involves maintaining the grounds and gardens within a safe environment, which includes regular maintenance, removal of slip and trip hazards and seasonal gritting, along with maintaining lawns and planted areas, and assist residents and activity co-ordinator with maintaining residents gardens and vegetable patch.
The position will be for 16 hours per week worked over 2 days, with the possibility of more hours as seasons predict.
